A neighbourhood restaurant for fresh pasta masters
The expansion of Pasta Remoli continues with a new home in Ealing as part of the Dickens Yard development. The project here was to create a genuinely warm neighbourhood restaurant in an otherwise anonymous box.
At the heart of Pasta Remoli lies the passion of Simone and his story; training in Rome before moving to London, initially to learn but subsequently to teach as he realised that the quality of pasta available was not a patch on what he was used to.
The result is a relaxed mix of reclaimed furniture, newly built joinery and strong graphics that really captures the soul of Pasta Remoli. It was important to create a sense that everything has been considered but not treated as too precious - for example, the rough painted edge halfway up the wall.
